The purpose of the Vineyard’s Emancipated Youth Housing is to help former foster youth achieve residential stability and a productive lifestyle.
Approximately sixty-five percent of youth that age out of the California foster care system need safe and affordable housing at the time of their emancipation. A large number of former foster youth experience homelessness and/or unemployment after emancipation. The Vineyard’s Emancipated Youth Housing looks to provide much needed housing and associated services to San Mateo County youth population.
